In the fall of 2016, Emily Jahnsen attempted to transition from filmmaker to farmer, but couldn't keep the camera down for long.  There was so much in this new life chapter she wanted to share with the world, because it all still embodies her passion to better care for the world.  Recording a montage of her communal lifestyle over a poetic expression reflecting on it, Emily attempts cinematic art with a message.

Emily's second summer in the high desert of northern New Mexico was documented to showcase the ease and joy from choosing an eco-friendly lifestyle.  Residing off the grid in a rundown 1973 blue school bus, Emily films each aspect of her sustainable setup.  From water to waste to welcoming audiences (all in under twelve minutes) to the possibility of living with more intent and awareness of our relationship to the Earth Mother.

With simple intentions to create more work in her portfolio, Emily decided to document some locals of her new environment.  Recording interviews with homeless people in the Guerneville & Monte Rio towns of Northern California, Emily captures moments of their lives with aspects of their characters; exposing viewers to the ones often automatically dismissed in our society.  Filmed in the summer of 2012, Emily's first documentary after college graduation was shared with the local PBS station for public viewing.
